Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has reportedly reduced the price of its budget smartphone — Oppo A53 — in India. The handset was launched in August last year in two storage variants of 64GB and 128GB in India at Rs 12,990 and Rs 15,490 respectively. The price of both variants have been reduced by up to Rs 2,500.
The price drop has been reported by Mumbai-based offline retailer Mahesh Telecom via a tweet. Right now, the new prices of the variant are not reflecting on online retail portals such as Amazon and Flipkart.
Oppo A53 new price
Post the price cut, the base variant of the Oppo A53 that offers 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage will cost Rs 10,990 after a price cut of Rs 2,000. The second storage variant offering 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage will now be selling at Rs 12,990 after a price cut of Rs 2,500.
Oppo A53: Specifications
Available in three colour variants of Fairy White, Electric Black, Fancy Blue, the Oppo A53 has a display of 6.4-inch HD+ screen of 1600x720p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate with a punch-hole selfie camera.
The Oppo A53 smartphone comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor. It also offers a microSD card support of 256GB.
For imaging duties, the Oppo A53 has a triple-camera setup on the back of a 13MP primary sensor, 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth camera. On the front, users get a 16MP sensor.
Backed by a 5000mAh battery, the Oppo A53 runs on ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10.
